Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competes within the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC friend of hers is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She debuted in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the event and beat Suzane Milliner by unanimous decision. Antonina was awarded a Silver Medal in 2007, a Bronze Medal in 2008, and a Gold Medal in 2011 and as the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012, she took home her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas, in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by unanimity. Antonina shevchenko recorded her debut professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the win via a second round TKO after which she won two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to focus on her kickboxing and made her comeback in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui with an unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in an unanimous vote. She left in 2018 the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina showed off her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. Antonina Shevchenko was given an UFC contract following this win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC during her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious by unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to beat Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the bonus fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn along with Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She won over Ariane Lipski, and also defeated Ariane.
